So, last week we wrapped up the "His Princess:Being daughters of the one true King" series! I sure had a blast writing Disney inspired messages & I pray that it encouraged you, challenged you & blessed you, even if in some small way!
After tossing some ideas around, the new series is HERE!! "Masks"! In light of Halloween coming up, I thought it'd be fun to use the blog series title "masks" and spend the next couple of weeks delving into some of the struggles we face. Some of the struggles we hide from, and some of the masks we wear to cover up those struggles. Lately, I've seen a lot of examples of these "masks" that young women wear to hide their true identities. Some, because of insecurity, some, due to shame, and some heavily influenced or suggested by culture and pop media.
Jesus tells us we need to be "the light of the world", & that we need to "let our light shine before men" (Matthew 5:14-15) How can we do either fully & properly while hiding behind a mask? My hope is that by acknowledging these struggles, insecurities and "masks", we can heal, grow and be better lights in this world. I pray we can take the masks off and instead put on the confidence of finding our identity in Christ.
What "masks" (struggles and insecurities) would YOU like to see discussed? I'd love to get your input. Leave me a comment below to connect!
